Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have signed 1996 birth-year defenceman Cade Nolan, HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Nolan, who hails from Garden River First Nation, played the 2014-2015 season with the Batchewana Attack of the now-defunct Canadian International Hockey League. Before that, he skated for the Soo Indians major midgets.

Eagles coach-general manager Bruno Bragagnolo said he likes Nolan’s skill level.

“He’s a great skater,” Bragagnolo told HockeyNewsNorth.com. “He does a lot of things well and he’s very coachable.”

What you think about “Cade Nolan joins Soo Eagles”

  1. Espofan,

No, none of late. I am sure when there are signings to announce, we will have them posted here.

  2. IMHO Soo Eagles landed an under-rated D-man who who is a slick skater, provides an accurate pass out of the zone, and has the ‘iq’ to run the power play. I predict Nolan will be a top pairing for the Eagles; hopefully LSSU has their eyes open and pick-up a solid local product.
