In front of more than 750 fans at the Essar Centre on Easter Sunday night, Haines scored once and assisted on three others as the Thunderbirds cuffed the visiting Gold Miners 5-1.

Haines now has eight points in the five games against Kirkland Lake, three of which are goals.

Leading the series three-games-to-two, Kirkland Lake can claim the NOJHL championship with a victory on Tuesday.

Should the Thunderbirds win, Game 7 will be in the Soo on Thursday night.
