The hockey department of the new Elliot Lake Red Wings is taking shape. Rebranded from the erstwhile Elliot Lake Wildcats, the Red Wings are adding on to their staff in advance of the 2021-2022 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League season.

Latest additions to the Red Wings staff are vice president of hockey operations Mark Savery and assistant coach Adam Lamarre.

They join general manager John Buchanan and head coach Brian Noad as part of the Elliot Lake hockey department.

Meanwhile, as was earlier reported by Hockey News North, Elliot Lake — having returned from a leave of absence that it took during the 2020-2021 NOJHL season — is advertising a spring evaluation camp for June 10-13.

The Red Wings spring evaluation camp is slated for Centennial Arena in Elliot Lake and is based on COVID-19 restrictions.

Cost per player for the evaluation camp has been set at $345 and includes three days of ice time and dry land training.
