Sudbury Cubs add firepower

Two forwards with Ontario Hockey League experience have joined the pace setting Sudbury Cubs of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

Nolan Newton

They are 2003 birth year skater Ethan Larmand and young gun Nolan Newton, who has a 2006 birth date.

Larmand once scored 15 goals in a season for the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL and has since played for the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Maritime Jr. Hockey League.

As for Newton, he returns to the NOJHL and the Cubs after a 13-game stay with the Barrie Colts of the OHL in which he scored a goal. Before being called up to Barrie, Newton was absolutely lighting it up in the NOJHL with the Cubs as evidenced by his 19 goals, 20 assists, 39 points in just 17 games.

The Cubs now have 13 drafted OHL players on their roster. In total, the 13 players have combined to play in 437 OHL games.
