Sudbury Cubs are number 1
They are primed to defend their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League championship. And not only have the Sudbury Cubs clinched first place in the regular season standings but they have the NOJHL’s leading scorer.

With four games to play on the regular season slate, the Cubs have 84 points from a record of 41-5-2. And Sudbury forward Lucas Signoretti leads the NOJHL scoring parade by a 20 point margin with 43 goals, 47 assists, 90 points.
The pint size Signoretti, who is in his last season of junior eligibility, is one of the more prolific scorers to grace the NOJHL in recent time. In 136 regular games with both Sudbury and the Espanola Paper Kings, Signoretti has 129 goals, 157 assists, 286 points. And for good measure, Signoretti has tacked on eight goals, nine assists, 17 points in 12 playoff games, all with Espanola.
Very solid organization from ownership, management and coaching. Well deserved.
