Sudbury Cubs lead Canada
And the beat goes on. Winners of 18 games in succession, the Sudbury Cubs of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League are number one in the latest Canadian Jr. Hockey League top 20 rankings.

The reigning NOJHL champions lead the league with 70 points from a record of 34-2-2 and have not lost a game since November 7.
And the Cubs are more than just 2004 birth year veteran sensations such as the 1-2 scoring punch of forwards Lucas Signoretti and Sam Assinewai and another 20 year old standout in defenseman Mason Chitaroni.
Rather, the Cubs also boast younger Ontario Hockey League draft picks such as 2008 birth year forward Mason Walker (Sudbury Wolves) and 2007 birth year defenseman Alex Valade (Brampton Steelheads.)
Walker, for instance, has nine goals, 22 assists, 31 points in 31 games. And Valade has seven goals, 17 assists, 24 points from his blue line post.
Of further note, Walker and Valade are both homegrown products from Greater Sudbury.
Such a solid franchise filled with mainly local and regional players. Achieving the top spot is no surprise as ownership, management and the coaching staff run a Jr. A franchise the way it is set up to be. Continued health and success.
