T-Birds deal three for cash
Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have traded away a trio of players in separate cash exchanges.
• Homegrown defenseman Evan Roach has been dealt to the St. Thomas Stars of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League. The 2006 birth defender and Ontario Hockey League draft pick of the Soo Greyhounds had an assist in 29 games with the Thunderbirds this season.
• Andrew Thompson, a 2005 birth year defenseman, is headed to the Gatineau Flames of the Quebec Jr. Hockey League. He had one goal, four assists, five points in 29 games with the Thunderbirds.
• Alex Remenda, a 2004 birth year forward, is off to his hometown Thunder Bay North Stars of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League. He potted 12 goals, seven assists, 19 points in 30 games with the Thunderbirds this season.
