T-Birds v. Trenton for DHC title
Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League will seek a second successive Dudley-Hewitt Cup, Central Canada Tournament title tonight when they face off against the Trenton Golden Hawks of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
The Thunderbirds earned a spot in tonight’s championship game by virtue of a 4-1 win over the host Kirkland Lake Gold Miners on Friday night.
Tonight’s DHC title tilt will be a rematch of the first game of the round-robin tournament when Trenton upended the Soo 4-2.
Should be a great final. Two very good teams. Will be cheering for the Soo!
