What you think about “Thunderbirds 6, Beavers 1”

  1. I truely feel bad for Blind River and their fans. Looked like another partial roster again. They did however get more fans than the Nickel Barons did.

  2. But that’s not a big feet I’m afraid ! So KL and T-Birds big wins last night. Barons have had a tough schedule of late loses to good teams EL T-Birds Now The Gold Miners Nation ! bummer man, I think they are playing crispy crunch next weekend lol. should be another tough match for them wow.

  3. As a junior hockey fan for many years i have to say that i am really enjoying this year’s nojhl. I think that there is alot more parity in the league than in years past. Many success stories have to be applauded but the one that really stands out for me is the situation in elliot lake. The people in elliot lake have done an incredible job in not only fielding a team , but fielding a very good team. Not bad when you have a late jump on the season and no returnees. As well lets talk about the gate. Over 500 fans on most nights when only a year ago there were about 150. Alot of work by alot of people has made this possible. Everyone involved should take a bow. Looking forward to the rest of the year.

  4. to hockey critic

When Lyin Ryan left Town thats when we started supporting the team in Elliot Lake trust me.

  5. I have to agree with you hockeycritic. I am aslo very impressed with what Stencil’s done in Elliot Lake and the team that hes put together from scratch. Im hearing he’s still working to improve an already good team and looking to add a few pieces. Ive seen them play quite a few times and they play hard on the puck hockey. They need a bit of help on the backend and I,m not convinced with their goaltending but they’ll battle the Soo for first place imo.

Blind River is bad and is in trouble simply because they dont have enough players. Powassan and Mattawa are in tough in a strong division and can’t match the top dogs but are at least competitive. Both of them can score but also cant defend very well.

  6. Old Viking you are being very polite.
Some of Ryan Leonard’s players are looking to get out of Cochrane and would like to be back in E L. We now enjoy supporting the Team with Leonard gone.
