Title tilt tied 2-2
As we catch up with the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, the Cochrane Crunch has caught up with the Rayside Balfour Canadians.
An overtime goal by Caleb Dolman lifted Cochrane to a 4-3 win over the visitors from Rayside Balfour on Friday to even the best-of-seven NOJHL championship series at two games apiece.
Game 5 is set for Sunday at 4 p.m. at Chelmsford Arena, home of the Canadians. Game 6 is slated for Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Cochrane.
After being shut down by Rayside Balfour in Games 1 and 2 and losing by scores of 2-1 (in overtime) and 4-1, coach Ryan Leonard’s Cochrane crew has rediscovered its scoring touch with 8-2 and 4-3 victories in Games 3 and 4.
