Trapper for Trapper trade
A pair of former members of the North Bay Trappers of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League are the principles in a Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League trade between the Powassan Voodoos and French River Rapids.
The Voodoos have sent 18-year-old forward Will Bourre and cash to French River for 17-year-old forward Chase Thompson. Thompson is also a prospect of the North Bay Battalion as a 14th round pick at the 2021 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.
At the time of the trade, Bourre had three assists in 13 games for Powassan while Thompson had two goals and an assist for French River.
