Trenton Golden Hawks of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League have dethroned the defending Dudley-Hewitt Cup, Central Canada Tournament champion Soo Thunderbirds.

In tonight’s title tilt, Trenton trimmed the T-Birds 4-0 to take the 2016 DHC crown and go undefeated in the process.

Trenton did not lose a game throughout the four-team DHC tourney that included the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League champs from the Soo plus the Superior International Jr. Hockey League champion Fort Frances Lakers and the host Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.

What you think about “Trenton trims T-Birds in title tilt”

  1. I’m sure everyone is getting tired of the OJHL winning the Dudley-Hewitt Cup almost every year….

  2. That’s a particularly good Trenton team. They will do well at the RBC and have been heavily scouted all year. No shame in Soo coming up slightly short.
