Two more goals for Tassone
Veteran forward Nic Tassone tallied twice to spark the first-place Soo Thunderbirds to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Abitibi Eskimos in Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League action on Sunday.
Tassone now has a team-leading 23 goals on the season.
Joey Miller, Eric Hillock, Boris Katchouk and Brett Jeffries also scored for the Soo and Mario Culina made 21 saves between the pipes.
Jaren Bellini added two assists for the Thunderbirds, who lead the West Division standings and have the best winning percentage in the nine-team NOJHL.
