Victoria to Elliot Lake

Dayton Clarke will head from west to east to continue his junior hockey journey.

The Victoria, British Columbia product has signed with the new Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, Hockey News North has confirmed.

A 6-foot-3, 225 pound forward with a 2001 birth date, Clarke has four seasons of prior junior level experience, having suited up for teams in the Vancouver Island Jr. Hockey League and the Greater Metro Hockey League.

Clarke represents the first signing by the rebranded Red Wings of the NOJHL. Elliot Lake’s NOJHL team was previously known as the Wildcats and was on leave of absence from the league in 2020-2021.

Ahead of the 2021-2022 season, Elliot Lake Red Wings are under new management and hockey operation led by Paul Noad at the top and also including general manager John Buchanan and head coach Brian Noad.
