There are a good number of players who are signed to play in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League for this season who are attending Ontario Hockey League training camps either as draft picks or as free agent invitees.

For example, two members of the Elliot Lake Vikings of the NOJHL began this week at the OHL training camp of the Soo Greyhounds.

Both 2005 birth year forward Noah Aboflan and 2006 birth year goalie Cam Boville are gaining valuable experience at the Greyhound camp as free agents.

Aboflan is coming off of a rookie season in the NOJHL that ended in his hometown of Elliot Lake after he began the campaign with the Blind River Beavers. In 47 games divided between Blind River and Elliot Lake in 2022-2023, Aboflan netted eight goals, eight assists, 16 points. He has the ability to be a high end forward.

As for Boville, he is a Sault Ste. Marie product who ventured from home to the Greater Toronto Area to tend goal in fine fashion for the Under 18 AAA Clarington Toros last season. Boville is a big kid with good size and the potential to be a top flight NOJHL goalie at some point.
