Powassan signs GNMHL grad
Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have signed 1998 birth-year defenceman Cameron Moore, who played last season with the New Liskeard Cubs of the Great North Midget Hockey League.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defender who hails from Wawa, Ont., had 15 goals, 11 assists, 26 points in 33 games for New Liskeard in 2015-2016.
Of note, Moore has family that lives close to Powassan in nearby North Bay.
“Having family and friends in North Bay helped me make my decision,” Moore said, in choosing to sign an NOJHL card with the Voodoos. “It’s a great organization, Scott (Wray) is a great coach and I am really looking forward to playing for him in the upcoming year.”
