Hound development camp details
Three Sault Ste. Marie products will be among the 31 prospects who will take part in a development camp that is being hosted by the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League this weekend.
The trio of locals, who all have 1999 birth dates, are goalie Garrett Boyonoski and forwards Mark Tassone and Zach Taylor.
Boyonoski and Tassone will both attend the camp as free agents while Taylor will come in as a 15th-round pick from last year’s, 2015 OHL Draft.
Boyonoski tended twine for the Soo Major Thunderbirds of the Great North Midget Hockey League this past season. Tassone suited up for the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League champion Soo Thunderbirds. And Taylor played at Hill Academy in Vaughan.
The development camp will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Essar Centre.
Over the course of the camp, players will take part in events ranging from fitness testing, skill sessions, practices and scrimmages.
