Hard-nosed Kingston Frontenacs forward Cody Caron has been issued a five-game suspension by the Ontario Hockey League.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Caron received the suspension for a cross-check to the head of a London Knights player during a game last Friday.

Caron, who has a team-leading 82 minutes in penalties for Kingston, initially received a match penalty for the infraction.

A Sault Ste. Marie product with a 1996 birth date, Caron has 4 goals, 6 assists, 10 points in 44 games for the Eastern Conference-leading Frontenacs.

What you think about “5-game ban for Cody Caron”

  1. Disgusting. These cowardly acts have no place in the game. Lifetime ban would be fine with me to act as a real deterrent.
