Czech into Flint
Import draft pick Simon Slavicek has signed with the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League, Hockey News North has confirmed.
The 6-foot, 170 pound forward with a 2004 birth date was chosen by Flint in the first round of the 2021 Canadian Hockey League import draft. Slavicek remained in Czechia for the first half of the 2021-2022 season and tallied four goals, nine assists, 13 points in 14 games for Slavia Praha.
Slavicek joins a Flint team that is in fifth place in the 10-team Western Conference of the OHL with 27 points from a record of 13-10-1.
