Soo Greyhounds are off to the second round of the Ontario Hockey League playoffs and a date with the Erie Otters.

The Hounds eliminated the Owen Sound Attack on Friday with a 6-1 win at Essar Centre to take the best-of-seven series in five games.

Erie also won its opening-round set in five games, disposing of the Saginaw Spirit.

Four of the five games in the Erie-Saginaw set were decided by one goal — three of which went into overtime.

The Greyhounds will begin their series with Erie on Wednesday, with the Soo holding home-ice advantage by virtue of having placed atop the West Division standings with 95 points.

Erie finished second in the Midwest Division — and second in the OHL overall standings — with 106 regular-season points.
