Flint moves up in draft
Flint Firebirds have swapped three picks with Mississauga Steelheads ahead of Saturday’s Ontario Hockey League draft.
The Firebirds have traded their second-round pick (30th overall) and a fourth-round pick (66th overall) to the Steelheads for their second-round pick (23rd overall.)
With the exchange of draft picks, Flint will now pick seven spots higher in the second round.
Saturday’s minor midget draft will be conducted live via the Internet beginning at 9 a.m.
