Flint Firebirds will take left winger Brennan Othmann from the Don Mills Flyers of the Greater Toronto Hockey League with the second overall pick at Saturday’s Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft, Hockey News North has confirmed.

Firebirds general manager Barclay Branch told Hockey News North that Othmann and his family have committed to Flint ahead of Saturday’s OHL draft, which begins at 9 a.m. and will be conducted via the Internet.

Othmann, who is listed at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, rang up 146 points in 72 games with Don Mills over the course of the 2018-2019 season while playing on a line with center Shane Wright.
