Windsor Spitfires have added some versatility with the acquisition of Slater Doggett from Kingston Frontenacs in an Ontario Hockey League trade finalized earlier today.

As a 1994 birth year, Doggett — who played both forward and defence in Kingston — is slated to start the 2014-2015 season as one of Windsor’s three overagers.

“He’s a good veteran option for us at a few positions,” Spitfires general manager Warren Rychel said of the 6-foot-1, 185 pound Doggett, who was acquired by Windsor from Kingston for a reported conditional draft pick.
