Harvard for Hounds 1st pick
Ryder Cali, chosen by the Soo Greyhounds in the first round of the 2024 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft, has secured a future Division 1, National Collegiate Athletic Association commitment from Harvard University.
A 6 foot 1, 195 pound forward, Cali had 19 goals, 11 assists, 30 points in 29 regular season games for the under 16 level Markham Majors of the Greater Toronto Hockey League in ’23-24. The Greyhounds subsequently called on Cali with the 18th overall pick of this year’s OHL priority selection process.
Greyhounds’ general manager Kyle Raftis has yet to respond to a request from Hockey News North seeking comment on Cali’s commitment to Harvard.
