Hounds draft pick commits to Lakers
Owen Guy, a 1998 birth-year centre who was selected by the Soo Greyhounds in the fifth round of the 2014 Ontario Hockey League draft, has made a future commitment to play for the Lake Superior State Lakers of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Guy is currently playing for the Kemptville 73’s of the Central Canada Hockey League. In 41 games with Kemptville thus far this season, Guy has 19 goals, 17 assists, 36 points.
He is expected to begin playing at Lake Superior State effective the 2017-2018 season.
I heard he is very fast with good hands and good hockey sense.
He is all of the above. And smart enough to choose NCAA Division 1 with the Lakers over the OHL.
