Soo Greyhounds have one more shot at completing a first-round Ontario Hockey League playoff upset tonight when they face off against the Sarnia Sting in a slated 7:05 p.m. start.

The best-of-seven Western Conference playoff series between the seventh-seeded Greyhounds and second-place Sting is tied at three games apiece.

Sarnia has won the last two games by identical 5-1 scores to force tonight’s deciding match on its home ice.

While not many outside the Greyhound circle are giving the Soo much of a chance to win tonight the fact is the Red and White did win Games 1 and 2 of the series right in Sarnia.

Still, with a veteran-laden lineup that was put together to go on a playoff run this spring, Sarnia has dominated the last two games offensively and overage goalie Charlie Graham has returned to form with four straight strong showings between the pipes, three of which have been wins for the Sting.

Tonight’s seventh-and-deciding game will be broadcast live on Sault Ste. Marie radio station Rock 101 and streamed via rock101.net with Gerry Liscumb Jr. calling the play-by-play.

  1. Sarnia—-the laughing stock of the OHL. Can’t blame the Ciccarellis now. Hatcher has a lot to learn though.
