Kingston is top-ranked OHL team

Kingston Frontenacs are rated as the no. 1 team in the Ontario Hockey League in the Canadian Hockey League’s pre-season edition of its top-10 rankings for the 2014-2015 season.

The weekly rankings of the CHL’s top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

The second edition of the CHL top 10 rankings will be released on Wednesday October 1.

Following are the CHL’s top-ranked teams heading into the 2014-2015 campaign:

1. Rimouski Oceanic (Quebec Major Jr. Hockey League)

2. Kingston Frontenacs (OHL)

3. Brandon Wheat Kings (Western Hockey League)

4. Quebec Remparts (QMJHL)

5. Kelowna Rockets (WHL)

6. Soo Greyhounds (OHL)

7. Calgary Hitmen (WHL)

8. Guelph Storm (OHL)

9. Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)

10. Portland Winterhawks (WHL)
