LONDON — The Ontario Hockey League has issued an indefinite suspension to London Knights forward Sawyer Boulton. Boulton was given an instigator penalty relative to a fight with Soo Greyhounds defenseman Matthew Virgilio during the final five minutes of Friday’s loss by the Knights.

The indefinite suspension is the result of the 19-year old Boulton being a repeat offender this season.

A free signee by the Knights this season, Boulton has already been on the OHL suspension list for infractions that include a 10-game ban for a hit to the head of Greyhounds forward Bryce McConnell-Barker and a three game sentence for a staged fight with Jackson Stewart of the Owen Sound Attack.

Boulton has played in 32 games for the Knights this season and has two goals, two assists, four points and 47 minutes in penalties. Last season, while playing for the El Paso Rhinos of the North American Hockey League, Boulton had no points in 30 games while racking up 110 minutes in penalties.
