Knightmare for the Spirit
SAGINAW — The Spirit is facing elimination as it heads to London for Game 5 of the Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference championship series.
The Knights skated past Saginaw by a 7-3 margin here on Wednesday to take a commanding three games to one lead in the best of seven series. Game 5 is set for Friday night at Budweiser Gardens in London.
Saginaw head coach Chris Lazary has no doubt that the Spirit can extend the series and win Game 5 in London.
“We told our guys this becomes a mental battle,” Lazary said. “We are certainly capable of winning one game. We are capable of winning two and three. It’s between the ears. There’s character in our room. We will win (the next one in London) and I am looking forward to that.”
