Rights to Ryan Vendramin
Soo Thunderbirds have secured the Junior A rights to right winger Ryan Vendramin from the Sarnia Legionnaires, HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed.
Vendramin, a 6-foot-3, 180 pound, 1995 birth year forward from Sault Ste. Marie, split the 2013-2014 season between the Legionnaires of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League and the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League.
In 47 GOJHL games with the Legionnaires, Vendramin had 28 goals, 34 assists, 62 points.
In 13 OHL games with the Sting, Vendramin had one goal, one assist, two points.
Vendramin signed an OHL contract with Sarnia following the 2012-2013 season after he scored 47 goals, 46 assists, 93 points in 34 games with the Soo North Stars of the Great North Midget Hockey League.
While the Thunderbirds have secured the rights to Vendramin from the Legionnaires, the big winger still has a good shot at making the OHL roster of the Sting.
