Saginaw offers to sign Soo boy
Hulking right winger Adam McPhail of Sault Ste. Marie has been offered a contract by the Ontario Hockey League’s Saginaw Spirit, sources have told HockeyNewsNorth.com.
The 6-foot-2, 175 pound McPhail was selected by Saginaw in the ninth round of the 2013 Ontario Hockey League draft after scoring 46 goals in 38 games for the Soo Thunder minor midgets during the 2012-2013 campaign.
McPhail ventured to Waterloo of the Ontario Alliance midget league in 2013-2014 and in 25 regular-season games with the Wolves, had 13 goals, 20 assists, 33 points.
He is expected to sign his OHL contract with Saginaw shortly.
