Soo Greyhounds have dealt 1996 birth-year forward Charley Graaskamp to the Sudbury Wolves in an Ontario Hockey League trade finalized this afternoon.

In exchange for Graaskamp, the Greyhounds will get two fourth-round draft picks — one conditional — from the Wolves.

In parts of two seasons with the Greyhounds, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound, American-born Graaskamp scored 5 goals, 13 assists, 18 points in 40 games.

Wolves general manager Blaine Smith told HockeyNewsNorth.com that he received “very favourable reports” on Graaskamp’s character and ability.

“We are really excited to add a player of Charley’s stature,” added Smith. “He attended the (National Hockey League) camp of the Anaheim Ducks last summer and he brings a pro mentality to us. Charley is highly-skilled and will enjoy a great opportunity to develop and flourish offensively here in Sudbury.”
