Wolves forward suspended
Sudbury Wolves will be minus fibrous forward Michael Pezzetta for the remainder of their hard-boiled playoff series with the Oshawa Generals.
The Ontario Hockey League has levied a two-game suspension on the third-year Wolves skater as a result of a cross-checking major penalty from late in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference playoff series that was won by the Generals.
The best-of-seven set between the no. 3 seed Generals and the no. 6 seed Wolves continues tonight in Sudbury with Oshawa holding a three games to two lead.

Lack of discipline by the Wolves has been a big problem all year long.
Lack of discipline all year gets magnified in the playoffs. Don’t think other teams don’t game-plan for this. Probably big circles drawn around certain player’s names.
I’m not going to shy away from this one. This was a terrible call to take. The buzzer had already gone to end the game, yes the Gens had a late hit right at the buzzer on a Wolves player, but Pezzetta coming in was a mistake. His team now finds themselves without one of their best penalty killers, one of their more skilled offensive players and a guy who plays with grit and determination. This wasn’t good.
And what was the purpose of having the Pilon twins out there on the last shift of the game?
