Austin Madge of the Kam River Fighting Walleye and Jordan Belley of the Dryden Ice Dogs had their net worth on display on Friday night at NorWest Arena.

Madge stopped 56 of 57 shots and Belley made 44 saves from 46 attempts and Kam River came away with a thrilling 2-1 home ice decision before more than 400 fans.

Defenseman Zach Fortin of Kam River and league scoring leader Maxime Collette of Dryden traded first period markers before Christian Veneruzzo of the Fighting Walleye tallied the game winner with a shorthanded goal midway through the third stanza.

The victory was the fifth straight for Kam River, which now has a 7-2-1 record and is in third place in the seven team Superior International Jr. Hockey League standings. The loss for fourth place Dryden, which was playing the first of eight straight road games, dropped its record to 6-7-1.

The two teams meet again tonight at 7:30 at NorWest Arena.
