Raj Sangha will once again make a 20 hour trip from his home in Calgary to play junior hockey in Thunder Bay.

A 6-foot, 190 pound defenseman with a 2001 birth date, Sangha has confirmed his return to the Thunder Bay North Stars of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League for the 2021-2022 season.

The North Stars are slated to begin the 2021-2022 regular season on Saturday, September 18 with a game against their crosstown rival Kam River Fighting Walleye.

The seven member teams of the SIJHL will each play 48 regular season games in 2021-2022. The upcoming season will signify the SIJHL’s 20th anniversary.

As part of a balanced schedule, all teams will play one another eight times — four at home and four away.
