Back in Thunder Bay
Several seasoned performers have confirmed their return to the Thunder Bay North Stars of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League for the 2021-2022 season.
Among the key returnees to Thunder Bay for the looming SIJHL season are goalie Jordan Smith, defenseman Thomas Young and forwards Hunter Foreshew, Dawson Lampi and Jack Michaelis.
The North Stars will again be coached by local mainstay Rob DeGagne.
A long-time coach in his home town, DeGagne played four full seasons for the old North Bay Centennials of the Ontario Hockey League from 1982 through 1986 as a productive, small size forward.
Regular season and playoffs included, DeGagne netted 106 goals, 215 assists, 321 points as a four-year favourite of legendary Centennials coach Bert Templeton.
