The Fighting Walleye is in first place in the SIJHL with 25 points from a record of 12-3-1 and has three games in hand on the North Stars, who have 23 points from a record of 11-7-1.

Notably, the two teams will face off in a pair of games this weekend with Kam River playing host to Thunder Bay in Friday-Saturday night tilts at NorWest Arena.
