The reigning regular season pennant winners from Kam River are perfect through four games to begin the 2022-2023 Superior International Jr. Hockey League campaign.

Through two weeks of the ’22-23 SIJHL regular season, the Fighting Walleye has won four straight games. As impressively is the fact that Kam River has swept two teams that are poised for contention this season — the Dryden Ice Dogs and Thunder Bay North Stars.

Three forwards have four points apiece for Kam River and two others have netted three points each through the four games.

Ethan Lang has three goals, one assist, four points while Euan Morrison is 2-2-4 and Cooper Fink has 1-3-4 totals. Morrison and Fink are both rookies. Meanwhile, Braeden Duchesne has two goals, one assist, three points and Holdon Woodcroft has 1-2-3 numbers.

Between the Kam River pipes, Eric Vanska has started three of the four games and is 3-0-0 with a 1.33 goals against average.
