Happy Easter in Dryden

Dryden Ice Dogs have evened their Superior International Jr. Hockey League semi-final series with the Thunder Bay North Stars at a game apiece. Playing at home, the Ice Dogs shrugged off a 2-0 deficit and scored a 4-2 Easter Sunday matinee victory over the North Stars.

Landen Stromme with his sixth goal of the playoffs, Kaden Bandura, James Hooton and Garrett Hrechka scored Dryden, which outshot Thunder Bay by a wide margin. Eric Clark earned the win for Dryden with 23 saves — including a clutch third period stop on a penalty shot — while Keenan Marks turned away 42 pucks in defeat for Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bay had stolen Game 1 of the best-of-seven series with a dramatic 2-1 overtime win over Dryden. The North Stars tied the game in the final half minute of play in the third period before scoring the OT winner.
