Hearst Lumberjacks, Timmins Rock, Fort Frances Lakers, Wisconsin Lumberjacks and Thunder Bay North Stars all skated to victory on Tuesday as the playoff season carried on in both the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League and Superior International Jr. Hockey League.

NOJHL

Hearst 3, Powassan 2. Mathieu Comeau scored the game winner just past the 13:00 mark of the third period to lift the Lumberjacks past the Voodoos for their first win of the best-of-seven series. Powassan now leads the set 2-1.

Timmins 4, French River 1. Nicolas Pigeon netted two goals and an assist and Jacob Brown made 27 saves as the Rock rolled past the Rapids to take a 3-1 series lead.

SIJHL

Fort Frances 2, Dryden 1. Brenden Stroble made 56 saves as the Lakers avoided elimination despite being out-shot 57-25 by the Ice Dogs, who now lead the series 3-1.

Wisconsin 4, Sioux Lookout 2. Kyler Lowden made 24 saves as the home side Lumberjacks took their first win of the series after opening with a pair of road losses to the Bombers.

Thunder Bay 6, Red Lake 2. Keenan Marks made 40 saves as the North Stars took a 3-1 series lead over the Miners.
