This looms as a net gain.

That is, Eric Vanska has opted to return to the Kam River Fighting Walleye of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League for the 2021-2022 season, Hockey News North has confirmed.

A 6-foot, 180 pound goalie with a 2002 birth date, Vanska made 49 saves in a winning effort for Kam River in his lone regular season appearance of the COVID-19 affected 2020-2021 campaign that resulted in only four games played for the new Fighting Walleye franchise.

Vanska has a long prior association with the reputable Thunder Bay Kings minor hockey program.
