But despite allowing just two goals, the Thunder Bay North Stars rookie goalie was tagged with the loss in his first SIJHL start as opposing net minder Kyler Lowden of the visiting Wisconsin Lumberjacks stopped all 38 shots he faced in posting a shutout victory on Friday.

The 18-year old Riley, who hails from the American state of Montana, is slated to attend Sault College and play for the Cougars effective the 2022-2023 season.

He is a recruit of Sault College scout Charly (Old Goat) Murray.

What you think about “Life of Riley in T-Bay”

  1. I was just finished chewing on a “Tin Can” (goat) when I happened to see an article on one of my recruits. Nice article but a bit of animal/human cruelty in the passages.
Trennis’s 1st game didn’t end the way he wanted but he showed the promise that he displayed at our camp. Being on a team like the Thunder Bay North Stars will only give him the opportunity to hone his craft.
