Salvatore is one smart kid

Wisconsin Lumberjacks forward Salvatore Poggiali has been named the Superior International Jr. Hockey League’s scholastic player of the year, Hockey News North has confirmed.

On the ice, the 19-year old Poggiali netted 21 goals, 35 assists, 56 points in 43 regular season games for Wisconsin.

And in the classroom, Poggiali maintained a 4.0 grade point average in the college-level courses he is taking. He graduated high school with a 4.2 weighted GPA while achieving a score of 32 on his ACT.
