SIJHL preview for Sioux Lookout
Sioux Lookout Bombers are slated to join the Superior International Jr. Hockey League as an expansion team for the 2022-2023 season. But ahead of that, Sioux Lookout will play host to an SIJHL regular season match on October 23 in a neutral site game between the Dryden Ice Dogs and Thunder Bay North Stars.
The game will represent a chance for Sioux Lookout residents to watch an SIJHL contest at Memorial Arena, aka the Hangar, before the hometown Bombers take to the ice next season.
Tickets purchased for the Dryden-Thunder Bay game via online at bombersmerch.ca can be picked up at Catspaw Printing (59 King St., Sioux Lookout) until October 22.
All spectators at the upcoming game will be subject to municipal COVID-19 regulations, including providing proof of full vaccination, collection of information for contact tracing — and must adhere to all distancing requirements. The regulations are set by the municipality, under provincial guidelines, and subject to change at any time.
