The three-man coaching staff of the Alpena Flyers of the U.S. Premier Hockey League will remain intact for the upcoming 2015-2016 season, HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed.

Head coach Erik Peterson will again be flanked by assistants Jay Kelley and Russ Anderson behind the bench of the Flyers, who debuted as a franchise in 2014-2015 as part of the erstwhile Midwest Jr. Hockey League.

David Guzman, the driving force behind the Flyers inaugural season, will return as general manager and Phil Agius will assist with marketing for the Alpena juniors.

“As a young team, stability is a key to building our program,” said Guzman. “We saw great things last year in terms of our players skill levels increasing and we expect the same this season.”

The Flyers will open their 2015-2016 season on Friday, Sept. 18 when they visit the Kalkaska Rhinos.
