100 points for Adam Jonak
Just call him the 100-point kid.
Adam Jonak tallied two goals and added an assist as the Motor City Monarchs clipped the Alpena Flyers 5-2 in Midwest Jr. Hockey League action from Sunday.
The MWJHL’s leading scorer, Jonak now 45 goals, 55 assists, 100 points in 35 games this season.
Jonak, a 1994 birth-year centre from the Czech Republic, becomes just the second player in the three-year history of the MWJHL to score 100 points in a season.
Graduated Soo Firehawks forward Nick Murphy eclipsed 100 points in each of his two seasons (2012-2013, 2013-2014) in the MWJHL.
