Wojo lights the Monarch lamp
MC Monarchs returned to Midwest Jr. Hockey League action for the first time in 2015 on Friday and it was a winning performance.
Tyler Skulley made 32 shots for the shutout as the visiting Monarchs blanked the Alpena Flyers 5-0.
Anthony (Wojo) Wojciechowski recorded a hat trick to spark the Monarchs and league scoring leader Adam Jonak netted the other two MC goals.
Wojciechowski now has 23 goals in just 16 games this season.
The two teams meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m. in Alpena.
