Four-goal game for Ken Winter

Detroit Fighting Irish shrugged off a three-goal deficit to upend the Alpena Flyers 6-5 in Midwest Jr. Hockey League action from Sunday afternoon.

Playing at Alpena, 1994 birth-year forward Ken Winter scored four goals and added an assist to pace Detroit to the road triumph.

Captain James Smith added a goal and an assist for the Fighting Irish, which improved its record to 7-4 with the win.

With the five-point outing, Winter leads Detroit in scoring with 10 goals, 8 assists, 18 points in 11 games.

Chuck Hicks scored just past the 15-minute mark of the third period to snap a 5-5 tie and give Detroit the victory.
