Kory Dombrowski fashioned a 32-save whitewash to backstop the Detroit Fighting Irish past the first-place Traverse City Hounds 2-0 in Midwest Jr. Hockey League action from Friday.

TC has now lost three straight games since clinching the MWJHL regular-season title last weekend.

Chuck Hicks had a goal and an assist and Chase Tackett netted the other marker for third-place Detroit in support of Dowbrowski’s shutout.

The two teams play again today at 3:10 p.m. at the Ice Box Sports Centre in the Detroit suburb of Brownstown.
