Two games were played in the Midwest Jr. Hockey League on Saturday.

Both were decided by one goal — and late, at that.

And to top it off, the visiting teams won both games.

SOO 3, DETROIT 2

Noah Anderson’s goal at 4:01 of overtime lifted the visiting Soo Firehawks past the Detroit Fighting Irish 3-2.

Mario Taranto had a goal and an assist in the Soo win, while Christian Wilkins also found range.

Soo goalie Cody Call, making his 2014-2015 season debut for the Firehawks, made 36 saves.

For Detroit, James Smith scored once and added an assist and Ken Winter also found the back of the net for his 13th goal of the seaason.

MC 4, DECATUR 3

A power-play goal by MWJHL scoring leader Adam Jonak with 1:07 left in the third period lifted the visiting MC Monarchs to a 4-3 win over the Decatur Blaze.

Jonak also contributed an assist for the winners.

Tory Shand, Anthony Wojciechowski and Jarrad Vroman scored single goals for the Monarchs and Derrick Treppa chipped in a pair of helpers.
